LA DUREE

moving image

Most of the time we perceive time as numbers , or as French philosopher, Henri Bergson defined it as “objective time” - the time of watches, calendars and timetables. But what about our time on the Earth, that has nothing to do with numbers? The lived time? The time that has duration - the time that is felt, lived and acted. La duree.

That was the thought leading me through the course Visualising complexity, where I explored time, how humans and other species perceive it. As time being a very complex thing itself, on one hand being infinite and on the other transient, the process led me to visualising the complexity of time in the form of moving image.
